Founded by designer Flavia, Layesion is a modern woodworking and marquetry brand creating one-of-a-kind handbags, home accessories, and collectible objects. From its atelier beginnings, the brand sought to evolve into a refined lifestyle presence within the competitive luxury market which is grounded in craftsmanship, sustainability, and timeless appeal.


HYD Studio was brought on to define not just a visual identity, but an entire brand universe, a living system of narrative, design, and experience that could expand fluidly across product categories and global markets.

Layesion occupied a rare creative space, where traditional craft married contemporary forM, yet lacked a unified brand story to communicate its purpose and potential.


The opportunity was to shape a cohesive language around its dualities: opulence and responsibility, confidence and softness, craft and modernity. The challenge was to elevate the brand beyond product design and position it as a lifestyle defined by values, not trends.

We began by uncovering the emotional and cultural foundations of Layesion and exploring the relationship between maker and material, hand and heritage. From this grew a shared narrative that celebrates both process and provenance, balancing artistry with commercial clarity.


The brand language was built to feel intimate yet expansive that is capable of speaking to collectors, collaborators, and consumers alike. Every design decision became an extension of Flavia’s philosophy: intentional, grounded, and poetic in form.
