Farryn, the Founder and Gold Coast native, developed the skincare line after struggling to find a product that matched her own skincare needs.
As an alternative to mass lab-produced skincare products with an endless cocktail of ingredients, Farryn saw the gap in the market to create a low-impact remedy that not only nourishes the skin but also employs local workers and is environmentally responsible. Her love for nature ensured that all decisions behind the brand have a positive environmental and social impact.
Farryn Amber had a product but no clear narrative or identity. Our task was to create a high-end digital experience whilst being a transparent and welcoming space within the beauty sector.
Through unearthing Farryn’s mission of an environmentally conscious skincare brand and getting to the heart of why this drove her, a message of clean skincare began to take form. This, combined with a target market of similarly environmentally-conscious and skincare-savvy consumers, developed a narrative of clean and transparent skincare.
VISUAL IDENTITY & PACKAGING
The colour palette curated uses nature as a direct influence. Earthy greens and burnt oranges reflect the natural and clean skincare as well as demonstrating sustainability being a core mission for the brand.
Their online presence gives a sense of feeling grounded and refreshed - again staying true to this clean and natural skincare message.
Through the brand application phase - including the custom illustrations for their packaging, made using post-consumer waste recycled materials - the clean and transparent skincare brand is mirrored in messaging and identity to customers throughout the customer experience.
Farryn's business centres around employing local workers and having a zero carbon footprint, which is reflected in the brand's own clean and transparent ethos.
After the brand's relaunch, Farryn Amber became listed in Selfridges (with product lines selling out) as well as a variety of other online boutiques such as Wolf and Badger and Level 7 Beauty Hall. They also achieved the coveted Leaping Bunny Certificate.
